Launceston Campus Library Client Services Team
The Launceston Campus Library welcomes two well known faces and one new face to our Client Services Team

Ros Ripper and Vaughan King are of course well known to UTAS Library staff in the north, having worked with us on both a casual and contract basis over the past few years. They will be commencing their new roles soon.

Melda Shay will be moving here from New South Wales with her 13 year old daughter and consequently there will be a short delay in the taking up her new position. Melda is currently working as a Ward Clerk with the North Coast Area Health Service but has previously worked in a variety of roles at the University of Newcastle Library over a period of many years. All three will be working 50% during semester time.
New Liaison Librarian in Launceston

Glynis Jones is a new staff member who joined the Liaison Librarian team on Monday 20th July. She hails from Perth where she worked in academic libraries for 10 years before venturing out into the world of public libraries for a couple of years. She then took the giant leap out of libraries for a year and managed the library services of a book supplier on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland before heading down to the tropical paradise of Launceston.
Glynis has worked across most areas of libraries with considerable experience in liaison and reference roles and in the area of collection management. She will be with the Library for a six month period and will be located on the Launceston campus.
