From Thursday the 2nd of September, staff and students at the Cradle Coast Campus Library were able to begin borrowing material from their own collection for the first time. A group of staff from Launceston, joined Linda Luther and staff and students from CCC for a morning tea and offical launch at 10.30. As the CCC Learning Hub has 24x7 access, self check in and self check out from the one machine have been activated. An open access holds shelf is also being trialled over semester 2. The majority of the collection will be available on 3 day loan, with a small reserve collection established, as needs are identified. Many thanks in particular to Cathy and Alison for all the testing and communication and for remaining (relatively) sane during the process; Rodney for all his work with Horizon and the set up of the self check machine; Mark for the purchasing and installation of equipment and Glynis and Prue for processes, procedures and training.

Congratulations CCC. It must have been a cold day(by the number of jackets in the pics) made warm by the heater of progress! :)
