Library Workforce Profile

Would all staff please complete the survey on staff qualifications .

There is also a link to the survey on the Library’s Intranet page.  Please answer the survey as soon as possible – and encourage your all your colleagues and staff to do so too.

I’m updating the Library Workforce Profile – which analyses Library staff by demographic characteristics such as age, gender, modes of employment and qualifications held. This allows us to know things like, for example, that X% of the Library staff are aged over 55, Y% of Library staff are employed on contracts, Z% of staff are located in Launceston.

The Library staff were last profiled for the Library Workforce Planning Project in 2005 – and this survey is identical to the paper one on qualifications we did then. The survey in 2005 was compulsory for all staff so it’s really important that we get all continuing and contract staff to complete this one now – casual staff are welcome to complete it if they would like to as well.

Aggregated results from this survey will then be put together with HR data to produce an up-to-date version of the profile section of the Workforce Planning Report  pages 10-24.
